MEAP & PLAN Wed. October 16, 2013 - MEAP (9th) & PLAN (10th)
 
MME The MME is the State of Michigan test that is replacing the MEAP. The test is a mandatory test for juniors. All the junior students in the State of Michigan will be taking this test on the following dates. It will include the ACT, portions of Work Keys, and some State of Michigan developed tests. Because the ACT is a part of the state testing, there is no fee for the student to take this ACT. The score for the ACT will be able to be used for college admission applications and NCAA (college sport clearing house). Test Dates:  March 4, 5, and 6, 2014.
 
PSAT The PSAT helps you prepare for the SAT, enter National Merit Scholarship competitions, and provides resources and information about college majors and careers.   You can assess your critical reading, mathematical reasoning and writing skills, and get specific suggestions on how to improve your academic skills. 
Register in the Counseling Office BEFORE SEPTEMBER 30th - Check payable to Oxford Schools $20.   
Test date:  Saturday - October 19th - 8:00 am at Oxford High School.  
 
SAT  These results are often requested by out of state colleges for admission consideration. The SAT test now includes a writing component. Register online for the SAT at: www.collegeboard.com. This test is NOT facilitated at OxfordHigh School.
 
ACT  The ACT Plus Writing includes the four subject area tests (English, Mathematics, Reading, Science) and a 30-minute Writing test. ACT results are accepted by virtually all U.S. colleges and universities. The ACT includes 215 multiple choice questions and takes approximately 4 hours to complete (Writing test and breaks included). The ACT is part of the MME, which all juniors are required to take in the Spring and is free of charge. If a student chooses to take the ACT independently, you can register at: www.actstudent.org.
