Welcome to my classroom!  I began my professional career at Ford Motor Company in the Engine Design Manufacturing Operations building in Dearborn. My teaching career started through training adults to use CAD at a technical center in Westland while going back to EMU to take courses towards earning a teacher’s license.

I have enjoyed being involved in Oxford’s evolution of a drafting and computer aided design program to a full-fledged design and engineering program utilizing computer numerical controlled machines, robotics, programming, and parametric CAD modeling software utilized for 3D printing.  During the summers, I keep my skills up to date by teaching at Duke and Eastern Michigan University to train other high school educators on implementing an integrated program for science, technology, engineering, and math.

I continue to find new challenges through the ever-changing limits of CAD software and then endless facets of human dynamics in the classroom. I hope for students to explore viable career choices as engineers, industrial designers, and architects while developing their problem-solving skills through real world application of math, science, art, history and language skills.

My winter hobbies include lots of reading, skiing, and running.  During the summer I like to stay busy traveling to beaches and mountains, competing in triathlons, and being outdoors.
